The Golden Hour

The Golden Hour occurs after sunset just before the Blue Hour. As a photographer, the best photo opportunities come from before dawn and after sunset. The Blue Hour is what the eye perceives as long after sunset and long before sunrise. The dark blue skies from night are still dominant.
Once the sun starts to rise there is the Golden Hour. The same applies to sunset.
One day, while leaving Death Valley late in the afternoon, I was running down the road trying to loosen my load with seven women on my mind...just kidding. I was very happily married at the time. Anyway, I saw this Joshua tree with a beautiful sky and pulled over to take a shot.
Joshua Trees are magical cactus that have a beautiful structure. I hope you all get the chance to get out in the California Desert in your lifetime to experience this wonder of nature.
Splendid! This is an amazing photo.
